 BANJAR HOT SPRING

Not far from the Buddhist temple are the Banjar hot springs. It is set in a beautiful flowered garden in which these ancient looking hot springs are located. There are three baths where you can puddle in 38ÂșC sulphur water. The Banjar Hot Spring were made by the Japanese Colonists hundreds of years ago. They first built the baths with bathing in mind and also because the Brimstone that is inside the water was known to be beneficial for skin diseases. Now both tourists and locals use the baths to bath with the warm waterfalls and water features. The beautiful surrounding forest invites you to take a stroll. There are eight carved stone dragons pouring water into the first pool (the hottest pool), five more for the second pool (cooler then the first pool) and one final 3 meter-high dragon serving the third pool.
